From NWSEC Collaborative Workspace
A lot has changed in the topography and the city structure of the world in the past 2½ centuries. Entire mountains have been reduced to rubble from meteors and earthquakes, oceans have risen and swallowed up islands, and volcanoes have created new ones. The cycle of creation has been busy, and in it's wake left us all with a land that can seem practically alien.
The NWSEC is looking to establish once again useful topographical information, as well as detailed information about the larger walled cities and arcologies. Let's not forget the freezone communities. NWSEC strives to provide information to help all find shelter when necessary.
[edit] Collaborative Mapping
- Save an existing map from the site to your local drive or download a blank one
- Blank maps that are free for use can be found on many educational sites.
- For example: Maps of each of the states in the US can be found here.
- Add or modify the map as you see fit:
- Civilization - Arcologies, Walled Cities, Freezone communities.
- Attractions - Contaminated zones, areas of strange activity, ruins, etc...
- Geography - Alter coastline, add or remove islands.
- Upload - Upload your map to the site
- Make sure to pay close attention to changes since you downloaded the image so that we can minimize overwrites.
- Add Descriptions - Add the descriptions of the details seen in your map to an article and link the image.
Examples:
California - All of the map editing was done with MS Paint.
Feel free to start contributing attractions to any of the regions across the globe below.
